FM phones Araghchi as US-Iran strikes threaten ongoing peace efforts

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi amid heightened regional tensions following recent US-Iran strikes.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders exchanged views on the prevailing situation in the region.
During the call, Ishaq Dar emphasised the need for all sides to reduce tensions and exercise restraint in line with the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the spokesperson said.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means of resolving disputes and promoting lasting peace and stability in the region.
