Force Reawakened: ‘Ahsoka’ strikes Disney Plus!

WEB DESK: The new series Ahsoka on Disney Plus is a significant addition to the Star Wars franchise, expanding on the lore and providing fans with a deeper understanding of one of the most beloved characters from the universe.

Ahsoka follows the journey of the former Jedi Knight, Ahsoka Tano, as she delves into an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The series provides a deeper exploration of the character, her adventures, and her role in the larger “Star Wars” universe.

Its debut episode has honoured the late Northern Irish actor, Ray Stevenson who portrayed the antagonist Baylan Skoll in the series. Stevenson passed away in May at the age of 58 with the causes yet undisclosed.

Rosario Dawson, who assumes the main role in the series, fondly remembered Stevenson as a ‘deeply spiritual individual’ and describing him as a blend of a robust Nordic man and a gentle, brilliant spirit.

The series has been written by Dave Filoni, a significant figure in the Star Wars universe, especially known for his work on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.
