GILGIT: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari has alleged that Form 45 was not being provided to party representatives after the completion of vote counting in several constituencies of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Speaking to reporters, Bukhari said PPP workers were denied access to Form 45 and were instructed to leave the premises after the polling process concluded. He added that he had contacted the Chief Election Commissioner to report the matter and seek immediate intervention.
While acknowledging that the overall electoral process remained largely peaceful, he cautioned against any actions that could trigger unrest and urged the Election Commission to play its due role in ensuring transparency and the timely provision of results-related documents.
Meanwhile, Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan said that polling across Gilgit-Baltistan was conducted peacefully, with strict security arrangements in place. He noted that more than 15,000 security personnel were deployed to maintain law and order.
He further said that voter turnout remained strong throughout the day, reflecting public enthusiasm, and thanked voters for their active participation in a peaceful electoral process.
