Former CM Gandapur declared absconder in liquor, arms recovery case

ISLAMABAD: A court in Islamabad has declared former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur an absconder in a liquor and arms recovery case after his repeated failure to appear before the court.

The case was heard at the District and Sessions Courts Islamabad by Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti. During the proceedings, Ali Amin Gandapur did not appear despite being summoned, prompting the court to take strict action.

The magistrate issued an order declaring Gandapur an absconder due to his continuous non-appearance and also approved the issuance of arrest warrants against him.

According to court records, the case against Ali Amin Gandapur was registered at the Bara Kahu police station and relates to the alleged recovery of liquor and weapons.

The court directed the relevant authorities to ensure the execution of arrest warrants and produce the accused before the court, as legal proceedings in the matter continue.
