ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the name of his new party has not been finalized yet but will be disclosed in May.
Speaking on the programme “Faisla Aap Ka with Asma Shirazi” on Hum News, Abbasi mentioned that he visited the election commission office for a consultation, and the party’s registration application is pending.
Abbasi emphasized that the party, not centered around any individual or family, has been discussed with many friends and is an effort for the people of Pakistan.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the current government, which is embroiled in disputes over seat division even in its third month, he highlighted the need for a new approach.

While indicating ongoing discussions with interested individuals, Abbasi clarified they have not yet extended invitations, seeking passionate individuals committed to serving the country.
Abbasi highlighted that while people are in contact with them, they have not yet reached out to anyone, as they seek individuals who are passionate about working for the country.
The new party is receiving encouragement from all sides, including from people in Saudi Arabia, Europe, America, and Canada who wish to join, he said.
He emphasized that their politics are not based on the failures of others; instead, they aim for the country’s progress and will present a complete reform plan upon launching the party.
He said that their goal is to solve the country’s problems, adhering to principles and law, not confrontation.
