Former Punjab governor Zulfiqar Ali Khosa passes away

PESHAWAR: Former Punjab Governor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, who served in multiple ministerial roles and completed nine consecutive terms in the Punjab Assembly, passed away on Thursday. A senior political leader from Dera Ghazi Khan, Khosa remained active in politics for decades and held several key positions.
Born on October 20, 1935, he was the 21st chief of the Khosa tribe and received his education at Queen Mary’s College and Aitchison College, Lahore. He entered politics at the age of 26, becoming the youngest member of the West Pakistan Assembly.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti described Khosa as an honest and wise politician, while Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed grief and extended condolences to his family.
