Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is joining Fox News as an on-air contributor, the network announced on Monday.

Leavitt, 29, will begin providing political commentary and analysis across Fox News platforms from November 1, according to the network.

She left US President Donald Trump’s administration in August after the birth of her second child, saying she wanted to spend more time with her family, The Guardians said.

Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott praised Leavitt’s experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail.

“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Scott said in a statement.

“We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all FOX News Media platforms,” she added.

Leavitt said she was grateful for the opportunity to officially join Fox News and bring her experience as White House press secretary to the network’s viewers.

“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House Press Secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms,” she said.

Leavitt served as the 36th White House press secretary during Trump’s second administration from January 2025 until August 2026, becoming the youngest person in US history to hold the position.

Before joining the White House, she served as national press secretary for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. She also worked in Trump’s first administration as a presidential writer and assistant press secretary.

During her tenure as press secretary, Leavitt regularly addressed reporters at White House briefings and became a prominent spokesperson for the administration.

She previously worked as a Fox News intern during the 2016 presidential election.

Leavitt joins former Trump press secretaries Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany, who also moved to Fox News after leaving the White House.
