Four children among five killed as house roof collapses in Nowshera

NOWSHERA: At least five people, including four children, were killed and three others injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to rescue officials, the incident took place in the Dag Jadeed area of Pabbi tehsil, where the roof of a house suddenly caved in, trapping eight people under the debris.

Rescue officials said five people died on the spot, including four children, while three others sustained injuries in the collapse.

Those killed have been identified as 30-year-old Rizwan, 9-year-old Walida, 6-year-old Ayan, 5-year-old Hafsa and 4-year-old Dua.

Rescue personnel managed to retrieve all the victims from the rubble. The injured were given first aid and shifted to Pabbi Hospital.

Officials added that the house had become extremely dilapidated, which led to the tragic accident.
