Over 1,200 teams from across Pakistan participated in the festival, showcasing their skills in popular video games including PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), Free Fire, and Tekken.

This year’s festival saw large crowds as it built upon the success of previous iterations. The large crowds show the growing popularity of e-sports in Pakistan.

The growing popularity of e-sports in Pakistan can partly be attributed to the global success of four-time Evo champion Arslan Ash in Tekken and a 15-year old Sumail clinching over a million dollars when he won Dota 2 championship “The International 2015” (TI5).

Entry to the festival was free, attracting large crowds eager to witness the intense gaming action. The event was attended by famous personalities such as British-Pakistani boxer Aamir Khan and even Arslan Ash. As per the event’s official Instagram account, Talha Anjum also made an appearance.
