George Clooney defends Paul Dano against Quentin Tarantino’s criticism

New York: George Clooney has stepped up to defend Paul Dano after Quentin Tarantino criticised the actor and his company last December. Clooney also included Matthew Lillard and Owen Wilson in his praise, emphasising his respect for actors.

The 62-year-old actor and filmmaker, recently named Best Actor at the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards for his role in Jay Kelly on January 10, highlighted his admiration for Dano and the others.

According to Variety, Clooney said he would be “honoured” to work with Paul Dano, Owen Wilson, and Matthew Lillard. “By the way, Paul Dano, Owen Wilson, and Matthew Lillard — I would be honoured to work with those actors. Honoured,” he stressed.

Reflecting on his own film, Clooney added, “Jay Kelly was made by people who love actors — that’s an important part. Most of the people I’ve worked with are actors, and I have a great affinity for them. I don’t enjoy watching people be cruel.”

So far, Paul Dano, Matthew Lillard, and Owen Wilson have not responded to Tarantino’s comments.
