Ghalibaf says Iranian people’s resolve has foiled enemy’s plans

Iranian Parliament Speaker Baqer Ghalibaf has said the Iranian people’s resolve and continued presence on the streets have foiled the enemy’s plans to weaken their morale through military aggression.

According to Iranian state television IRIB, Ghalibaf said the enemy had believed that military pressure and aggression could break the spirit of the Iranian people, but the nation had proved this assumption wrong through its determination and courage.

He said the Iranian nation was the fundamental source of the country’s strength, adding that the people’s resolve had further strengthened Iran’s defence capabilities.

“Iran’s defence capabilities are rooted in the people’s faith and resolve,” he said.

Ghalibaf said that despite military pressure and aggression, the Iranian people had not lost their resolve and had instead demonstrated unity in defending the country and its sovereignty.

He said public support was not limited to the defence front, as Iran’s diplomatic efforts also enjoyed the backing of the people. He described public confidence in the government’s foreign policy and diplomatic initiatives as an important source of strength.

The Iranian parliament speaker said the enemy had expected military aggression to frighten the Iranian people and weaken their morale, but their continued presence and steadfastness had disproved that assumption.

Ghalibaf said the faith, unity and determination of the Iranian nation remained the country’s greatest strength in confronting the challenges it faces.
