Girl riding e-scooter crushed to death by speeding car in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A young girl riding an electric scooter was killed and another injured after a speeding car hit them in the federal capital on Saturday.
According to sources, the incident took place on Iran Avenue where a fast-moving vehicle rammed into their e-scooter. The two girls riding the scooter were identified as Amina and Fatima.
Rescue officials said that the collision left Amina critically injured, who succumbed to her wounds on the way to the hospital.
The second girl, Fatima, also sustained injuries but her condition is said to be out of danger.
A day earlier, a 17-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her former fiancé in Islamabad’s Golra police jurisdiction on Friday. The incident occurred on November 28 at around 5pm, sources said.
According to police sources, the victim was allegedly killed by her former fiancé, who reportedly entered her home and attacked her before fleeing the scene.
Police sources said that an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
Police sources identified the victim as Ayesha Khan, daughter of Muneer Khan, a resident of Golra Station, Mohalla Sikandarabad. She had married Zarar Ali two months ago.
Sources said the suspect, Eid Muhammad, who is said to be the victim’s former fiancé, allegedly entered the house with a sharp weapon and stabbed Ayesha Khan multiple times, killing her on the spot.
