Gold price sees massive increase

KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan witnessed a massive increase of Rs3,100 per tola on Monday, according to Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers’ Association (APSGJA).

After the increase, the price of the precious metal per tola has reached Rs229,900.

The price of 10 grams stands at Rs197,102 witnessing an increase of Rs2,658.

Gold traders and investors have been advised to keep an eye on market fluctuations and make informed decisions accordingly.

Separately, the Pakistani rupee weakened by Rs1.35 against the US dollar and closed at Rs297.13 in the interbank market on Monday, the State Bank of Pakistan said.

Overall, the Pakistani currency depreciated by -0.45 per cent against the US dollar.
