Gold prices climb in Pakistan after four-day drop

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Tuesday after a four-day break, in line with gains in international markets, traders said.

In local Sarafa markets, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs1,000 to Rs523,762, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs857 to Rs449,041.

On Monday, gold prices had dropped in the domestic market by Rs1,800 per tola to Rs522,762 while the price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs1,543 to Rs448,184.

In the global bullion market, gold rose $10 to $5,010 an ounce.

Silver prices also climbed, with per tola rates rising by Rs128 to Rs8,569 and 10 grams increasing by Rs110 to Rs7,346.
