KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Tuesday, with the price of 24-karat gold declining by Rs1,000 per tola to Rs462,136, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10-gram gold also decreased by Rs857 to Rs396,207.

The decline came a day after gold had fallen sharply on Monday.

According to APGJSA, the price of 24-karat gold had dropped by Rs2,400 per tola to Rs463,136 on Monday, while 10-gram gold fell by Rs2,058 to Rs397,064.

In the international market, gold prices also weakened, falling $24 to $4,406 per ounce on Monday.

Silver prices also declined in the domestic market. The price of silver fell by Rs39 per tola to Rs7,059, while 10-gram silver decreased by Rs34 to Rs6,051.

International silver was down 39 cents at $65.80 per ounce on Monday.
