Gold prices in Pakistan ease after recent surge, follow global trends

Gold price falls in Pakistan

KARACHI: After a sharp rally earlier this week, gold prices in Pakistan corrected on Wednesday, declining modestly in both local and international markets.

Following gains of Rs 12,400 per tola in the first two trading days of the week, the price of gold fell by Rs 1,200 today, bringing the new rate to Rs 466,762 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs 1,028, settling at Rs 4,173.

On the international front, gold also experienced a decline, losing $12 per ounce and reaching $4,444. Silver prices, however, remained unchanged during the session.

Market analysts attribute the decline to profit-taking after the recent surge and minor fluctuations in global gold markets. Investors are advised to monitor ongoing trends, as global economic indicators and currency movements continue to influence precious metal prices.
