Gold prices in Pakistan gains a sharp surge after two-day pause

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Monday after a two-day pause in the upward trend, according to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
According to APSGJA, 24 karat gold per tola gained an increase of Rs900 to settle at Rs477,162 compared to Rs476,262 on the previous trading day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs772, reaching Rs409,089.
At the international front, the gold price per ounce was also increased by $9 to reach $4,548.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded gains in both global and domestic markets. In the international market, silver per ounce increased by 26 cents to $76.15.
In local markets, the price of silver per tola rose by Rs26 to Rs8,099, while the rate for 10 grams of silver increased by Rs22 to Rs6,943.
