Gold prices in Pakistan climbed on Wednesday, reflecting an uptick in global markets. The price of gold per tola surged to Rs431,562, gaining Rs7,900 over the course of the day.
In the local market, 10-gram gold was traded at Rs369,994, marking an increase of Rs6,773, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association. On Tuesday, gold had fallen by Rs7,000 per tola, closing at Rs423,662.
The international market also showed positive movement, with gold priced at $4,092 per ounce, plus a $20 premium. This represented a daily rise of $79, signalling renewed strength in global demand.
Silver prices also saw a modest increase, rising Rs177 per tola to reach Rs5,422.
Traders say the local gold market continues to closely follow international trends, with prices fluctuating in response to global demand and currency movements.
