In contrast, silver prices saw an uptick in the domestic market. The price of 24-karat silver rose by Rs160 to reach Rs5,642 per tola, while the 10-gram rate increased by Rs138 to Rs4,837.
Gold rate in international market
On the global front, spot gold traded near $4,165 an ounce, up $1.10 or 0.03 percent from the previous session. Analysts attributed the slight gain to growing expectations that the US Federal Reserve may cut interest rates in December, which put mild pressure on the dollar.
