KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs4,600 amid volatility in the local bullion market, traders said.

According to market data, the price of 24-karat gold per tola reached Rs477,762 after the increase.

The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs3,943 to Rs409,603.

Traders attributed the increase to fluctuations in global gold rates and changes in the local currency market, which continue to influence domestic bullion pricing.
