Gold prices rise by Rs1,100 per tola in Pakistan

Gold price in Pakistan jumps by Rs1,100 per tola as global rates gain $2.43

Gold prices in Pakistan rose by Rs1,100 per tola on Saturday, taking the rate to Rs442,036, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs943 to Rs378,974, the association said.

The latest increase followed a rise of Rs600 per tola on Friday, when gold was priced at Rs435,036, up from Rs434,436 a day earlier, according to the APGJSA.

The gains came amid fluctuations in international markets. Gold prices rose by $2.43 per ounce, supported by a slightly weaker US dollar, Reuters reported.

On Wednesday, gold prices in Pakistan fell by Rs3,100 per tola, while the rate for 10-gram gold declined by Rs2,658 to Rs372,458.

Silver prices also dropped on Wednesday, falling by Rs100 per tola to Rs6,488, according to the APGJSA.

Domestic gold prices are influenced by international bullion rates and movements in the rupee-dollar exchange rate, as well as geopolitical developments and investor sentiment.
