Gold prices rise in Pakistan after four-day decline

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan rose by Rs4,700 per tola on Friday, reversing some of the losses recorded over the previous four trading days, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association.

The price of one tola of gold increased to Rs453,036 from Rs448,336 a day earlier.

The price of 10 grammes of gold rose by Rs4,229 to Rs388,404.

Gold prices had fallen for four consecutive days, declining by a total of Rs11,900 per tola during the period. On Thursday, the price dropped by Rs5,600 to Rs448,336.

The price had fallen by Rs1,800 on Wednesday, Rs4,500 on Tuesday and Rs2,000 on Monday.

In the international market, gold prices had fallen by $56 per ounce on Thursday to $4,258.
