ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shoaib Shaheen has said that if anything happens to former prime minister Imran Khan, the government and the establishment will be held responsible.
Speaking outside the election commission’s office, he commented on the foiled attack plan on Adiala jail the previous day, asserting that attempts were being made to murder and intimidate Imran Khan.
Shaheen questioned why terrorists would bypass the rest of Pakistan and target Adiala jail specifically. He urged the judiciary to stop the ‘bandits and the elite’, clarifying that there will be no negotiations with the ‘bandits’.
He criticized the Election Commission of Pakistan on uploading Form 45 on its website, stating the website was now inaccessible, alleging significant fraud in the uploaded forms.
The PTI leader claimed that at one of his polling stations, his opponent’s votes were fraudulently increased from 168 to 468. He vowed to take legal action against the election commission for this tampering, stating that those responsible would face jail and lose their jobs.
He opposed the borrowing from the IMF, claiming that the elite would consume the loan while the public will bear the burden of repayment.
