Sindh govt announces two holidays for next week

KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially declared December 25th as a public holiday in honour of Quaid-e-Azam Day. 

As per the announcement, all government and semi-government offices will remain closed on Monday to commemorate the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. 

Municipal councils and other relevant authorities will also observe a holiday on this occasion. 

The official notification regarding this public holiday has been issued by the Department of Services, General Administration, and Co-ordination.

In addition, a public holiday has been announced for December 26th, marking Christmas Day, specifically for employees belonging to the ‘Masih Bari’ community. 

On this day, all government and semi-government offices, as well as local councils and authorities, will be closed. 

It’s important to note that this holiday is applicable exclusively to the employees of the Christian community. 

The Department of Services, General Administration, and Co-ordination has issued an official notification to this effect.
