ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja, speaking in HUM News program Subh Se Aagay, discussed the government’s ongoing initiatives in the IT sector and its focus on digital transformation under the National Digitisation Vision.

She said that the primary objective of the digitisation vision is to promote domestic exports. The IT industry recorded a 19 per cent growth last year, and freelancing exports saw a 96 per cent increase during the same period.

The minister said the government aims to improve service delivery and make daily life more manageable for citizens through technology. She said that TikTok is currently the most used platform in Pakistan and that the government is working to encourage its positive use. According to Shaza Khawaja, the platform is being explored as a tool to provide free access to educational content.
