Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams have taken a major step in their relationship, making their first official red carpet appearance together at the BAFTA Awards 2026 in London.
The couple turned heads at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, transforming one of the film industry’s biggest nights into a high-profile date night and confirming months of romance speculation.
Mescal, 29, is nominated for best supporting actor for his role as William Shakespeare in Hamnet, while Abrams, 26, joined him on the carpet in coordinated black looks.
Couple makes relationship milestone
Abrams wore a black gown with delicate floral detailing and styled her hair in a sleek, pulled-back look with one side tucked behind her ear.
Mescal opted for a black jacket and trousers paired with a white dress shirt worn open at the collar, keeping the look relaxed but polished.
Their joint appearance marks the couple’s first official red carpet outing since they were first romantically linked in June 2024.
Romance timeline heats up
The BAFTAs moment comes roughly a month after the pair were spotted together following the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
They were photographed heading to Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles after the ceremony, where Hamnet, starring Mescal, won best motion picture drama and best actress for Jessie Buckley.
Mescal has largely kept his personal life private. In a previous interview, he said he prefers to keep details of his relationship out of the spotlight.
“I actually do have an answer, but everything to do with that is deeply precious to me,” he said. “I want to protect those things fundamentally.”
