Grade Eight annual exams 2026 schedule announced in Punjab

WEB DESK: The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTA) has issued the schedule for the 2026 annual examinations of Grade 8 across the province.

According to the announcement by Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority in Lahore, the examinations will commence on March 9, 2026, with the Mathematics paper scheduled at 9am.

The Urdu examination will be held on March 10, followed by English on March 11. The Science paper is set to take place on March 12, 2026.

All examination papers will be conducted from 9am to 12pm.

The authority has strictly prohibited students from bringing mobile phones, smart watches or any electronic devices into examination centres.

For the first time, the Grade 8 annual examinations will feature machine-marked papers equipped with QR codes and monitored through CCTV cameras as part of enhanced transparency and oversight measures.
