Gucci Mane was allegedly held at gunpoint during a shocking confrontation inside a Dallas music studio, in a case that has now escalated into a federal kidnapping investigation.

The incident, which authorities say took place in January, involved fellow rapper Pooh Shiesty, who is signed to Gucci Mane’s label. What was expected to be a routine business meeting allegedly spiralled into a violent standoff.

Gun allegedly pulled during contract dispute

According to a federal affidavit, Pooh Shiesty confronted Gucci Mane over his record deal and demanded to be released from his contract.

When he refused, prosecutors allege that a weapon resembling an assault-style rifle was pointed at him inside the studio.

Gucci Mane was then allegedly forced to say on camera that he was releasing the rapper, with the moment reportedly filmed by Big30.

Jewellery, cash taken in alleged robbery

Authorities claim the situation escalated further, with jewellery, cash and other valuables taken during the confrontation.

Gucci Mane was one of three victims present at the scene, according to investigators, who say the group involved had coordinated the meeting under false pretences.

Multiple arrests, life sentences on the table

Federal prosecutors have charged nine individuals in connection with the case, including Pooh Shiesty and Big30.

They are facing serious charges, including kidnapping, which carry potential life sentences if convicted.

Authorities also allege that Pooh Shiesty’s father was among those involved.

The allegations have stunned the music industry, given Gucci Mane’s status as one of the most influential figures in modern rap and his role in launching multiple major artists.

As the case moves forward, more details are expected to emerge about what prosecutors describe as a violent and coordinated confrontation that went far beyond a business dispute.
