Speculation about Kai Cenat’s future on Twitch is growing after fellow streamer YourRage suggested that the internet star may have stepped away from the platform for good.
During a recent livestream, YourRage told viewers that Cenat had effectively “retired” from streaming, claiming he had moved beyond Twitch and was now focused on mainstream entertainment.
Cenat, one of Twitch’s biggest names, has not gone live since October. Despite his absence, he remains a constant topic of conversation online.
What did YourRage say?
While reviewing subscriber prediction markets, YourRage told his audience that Cenat was unlikely to hit any of the projected figures because, in his view, he was no longer actively streaming.
He suggested Cenat’s growing fame meant he no longer needed Twitch, adding that he was now “a star” likely to focus on film and other projects.
There has been no official confirmation from Cenat that he has retired.
Why fans think he may be moving on
Cenat has previously spoken about expanding into other areas of entertainment. He has teased a streamer-themed film project with Kevin Hart and Druski, adding to speculation that his future may lie beyond livestreaming.
His rapid rise from creator to mainstream celebrity has made him one of the most recognisable figures in online entertainment.
Break or goodbye?
Cenat is currently on a break following a public split from influencer Gigi, with mental health cited as a factor in his time away.
Streaming is a high-pressure job, and many major creators have spoken openly about burnout. Some fans believe Cenat is simply resetting. Others think he may be preparing for a permanent shift.
What happens next?
For now, nothing has been confirmed. Cenat has not announced a return date or said he is leaving Twitch.
Whether this is a temporary pause or the start of a new chapter remains unclear.
