Hasan Ali resumes bowling after head injury scare in Sylhet Test

SYLHET: Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali returned to the field and resumed bowling after a head injury scare on day one of the second Test against Bangladesh.

Hasan was briefly taken off the field after landing awkwardly while attempting a return catch off Tanzid Hasan Tamim in the eighth over. He dived to his right, appeared to lose his balance on landing and immediately clutched his head.

Medical staff attended to the 31-year-old on the field before he was escorted off as a precautionary measure.

He returned to the attack in the 16th over and resumed bowling later in the morning session, with Pakistan managing him carefully after the incident.

Bangladesh, who lead the two-match series 1-0, reached 101 for 3 at lunch after opting to bat first.
