Heavy rain disrupts power supply in Karachi

KARACHI: Heavy rain in different areas of Karachi on Monday disrupted power supply in various areas of the city.

According to details, the rainfall affected several key locations, including Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulshan-e-Maymar, the airport, Bahadurabad, Tariq Road, PECHS, Malir, Saddar, I.I. Chundrigar Road and Defence.

The spokesperson for the Sindh government Barrister Arslan Islam Sheikh has advised citizens to take care of their safety during the rainfall.

Heavy rain, expected to continue through August 31, has left residents in these areas without electricity. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had previously forecasted intense rainfall across Sindh.
