High-level Saudi delegation arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan leading a high-level Saudi delegation that has arrived in Pakistan.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar welcomed Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan at the Islamabad airport.

The Saudi delegation includes the minister of environment, water, and agriculture, as well as the minister of industry and mineral resources.

Additionally, Assistant Minister for Saudi Arabian Investments, Ibrahim Yousuf Al-Mubarak, is also part of the delegation.

The Saudi delegation will meet with top officials from the president of Pakistan, the prime minister and the chief of army staff.

Furthermore, the Saudi delegation will engage in discussions with ministers responsible for industry, trade, agriculture, mineral resources, energy, and other sectors.

During their visit, the Saudi delegation will consult on the next phases of investment and operational matters. Saudi Arabia has expressed interest in investment across various fields, including agriculture, trade, energy, IT, and other sectors.

The visit will also focus on joint projects related to the Reko Diq project concerning Saudi investment. The delegation’s visit is expected to pave the way for new opportunities and smoother collaboration.

It’s worth noting that the Saudi delegation reached Pakistan one week after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Saudi Arabia.
