LAHORE: It is the season for sports, be it the preparation for upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) or a combat inside a ring instead of a field. The city of Lahore is pulsing with excitement as the Second International Boxing Championship punches off at the Jinnah Sports Complex, Lahore Garrison, from November 26 to 29.
The mega event, held in collaboration with the World Boxing Association (WBA), is set to bring world-class action to Pakistan’s sporting capital. A total of 44 professional boxers from 15 countries are stepping into the ring this year, 6 representing Pakistan and 38 international fighters ready to battle for glory.
Boxers, officials, and WBA representatives from the US, UK, Germany, Korea, Australia, Ireland, Philippines, Netherlands, Morocco, Benin, Ghana, France, and several others have already begun touching down in Lahore, turning the city into a global combat hub.

Foreign fighters say they are thrilled to be in Pakistan, praising the warm welcome and acknowledging the rising talent of Pakistani boxers on the world stage. Their message is clear: the competition will be fierce, and the energy in Lahore is unmatched.
Branded as the “Fight for Glory” Championship, the event promises electrifying bouts, roaring crowds, and a festival of sportsmanship. Fans from across the country, national heroes, and top showbiz personalities are expected to pack the arena, lifting the championship’s atmosphere to new heights.
The tournament is being organised with the support of the Government of Punjab, Fauji Foundation, and Lahore Corps, marking another major step in Pakistan’s journey to revive and elevate international sports. All eyes are now on Lahore as the countdown ends and the gloves go up; the fight for glory begins tonight!
