HUM News senior journalist Khurram Iqbal taken into custody in Lahore

WEB DESK: Senior journalist Khurram Iqbal who serves as a Producer at HUM News has been taken into custody in Lahore, sources said on Friday.

According to sources, he was detained from Journalist Colony in the provincial capital. The arresting party reportedly included officials from Lahore Police, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and personnel in plain clothes.

Sources said police and FIA officials entered the premises by scaling the main gate before taking him into custody. Iqbal was reportedly arrested from his sister’s residence, where he had been staying with his family during his holidays.
