WEB DESK: HUM TV Network President and founder Sultana Siddiqui has received another prestigious honour, as she was awarded the Lux Change Maker Award at the Lux Style Awards.
The award recognises individuals who have brought meaningful change through their work and influence. Sultana Siddiqui was acknowledged for her pioneering role in Pakistan’s television industry and her long-standing contributions to promoting strong narratives, women-centric storytelling and cultural representation on screen.
As the founder of HUM TV, Siddiqui has been instrumental in shaping modern Pakistani drama, providing a platform for new talent and producing content that has gained both national and international acclaim.
The Lux Style Awards, one of Pakistan’s most prominent award platforms, celebrate excellence across fashion, film, music and television, while also highlighting figures whose work has had a lasting social impact.
The honour adds to Sultana Siddiqui’s long list of accolades and reinforces her status as one of the most influential media figures in the country.
Honory doctorate conferred
Earlier this April, Sultana Siddiqui had been conferred an honorary doctorate by Buckinghamshire New University in recognition of her contributions to media and society. The degree was awarded at a ceremony held to mark the launch of postgraduate certificate programmes in Pakistan, introduced in collaboration with Skillsrator and the International Centre of Excellence to provide Pakistani students access to British-accredited education.
This had marked Siddiqui’s second honorary doctorate, following a similar recognition from Greenwich University in Pakistan. University officials and education leaders at the event highlighted the role of transformative education and international collaboration in shaping future generations.
