Gandapur

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has accused the federal government of treating provincial government unfairly. He said that public representatives are being disqualified without cause and that their rights are being withdrawn.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Gandapur claimed that corruption cases from previous governments are being used against the current provincial administration of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that the Kohistan scandal is a matter concerning the federal government, but the responsibility is being placed on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The chief minister said that in the past 17 months, the province generated more than Rs 250 billion in revenue. Speaking about the interim government, he said that his government inherited a province facing debt and salary payment issues.

Gandapur said that eliminating terrorism and restoring public trust remain top priorities. He added that the scope of jirgas would be expanded, and public opinion would guide decisions. He also said that the sacrifices of police and army personnel will not be forgotten.
