ICC Champions Trophy ticket sale to begin from tomorrow 

WEB DESK: Set to commence from February 19, the much-awaited ICC Champions Trophy ticket sale will start from January 28 (tomorrow) for group matches and the first semi-final.

“The tickets for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy games in Pakistan are set to go live on Tuesday, 28 January, 13h00 Gulf Standard Time (GST) / 14h00 Pakistan Standard Time (PST),” International Cricket Council said in a statement on Monday.

Champions Trophy Ticket Price

The price for general stand tickets will be at PKR1,000 while the premium seats will be available in various categories starting from PKR1,500.

Physical tickets will also be available for purchase from 3 February at designated TCS Express centres across Pakistan, with details to be announced in due course.

ICC said, ticket information for the India matches to be played in Dubai, UAE on 20 and 23 February and 2 March, will be shared soon. 

Similarly, it said tickets for the final match — to be played on Sunday, March 9 — will be available after the conclusion of the first semi-final.

ICC Chief Commercial Officer Anurag Dahiya, while expressing excitement over the announcement of the official Champions Trophy ticket on-sale, said, “This is a significant moment for cricket in Pakistan, hosting their first global cricket tournament since 1996.

Opening Ceremony

ICC Champions Trophy promo or a heist mission?

As per sources, the opening ceremony for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy is likely to take place on February 16 or 17.

All eight teams and their captains will take part in the opening ceremony, alongside a press conference that will be held by the skippers on the same day, according to sources. However, the venue for the ceremony is yet to be decided.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has informed the ICC about their plans regarding the ceremony, but it will be the latter organisation that will make the final decision.

In regards to visas, the PCB will issue them for all teams, commercial partners, ICC officials, and media. Visa arrangements began last week according to sources.
