ICT admin tightens security for Muharram

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon on Tuesday directed the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the Muharram observances in the Federal Capital.

In this connection, Assistant Commissioner Saddar visited Imam Bargahs in the D-17 and Sangjani areas, focusing on security measures and cleanliness.

Similarly, the Assistant Commissioner Industrial Area assessed the security along key routes that will be used for Muharram processions.

Furthermore, Assistant Commissioner Shalimar also inspected procession routes, making sure everything was in place for the events.

These inspections are part of a broader effort to maintain peace and order during Muharram.

On the occasion, the DC said that strict security arrangements had been made for Muharram and no one would be allowed to create hatred or disturb the law and order situation in the city. INP
