IHC dismisses petition seeking disqualification of Imran Khan in Tyrian White case

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday rejected the plea seeking the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan for concealing information regarding his alleged daughter, Tyrian White, in the nomination papers.
A larger bench of the Islamabad High Court, led by Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri, dismissed the petition aiming to disqualify the PTI founder in the Tyrian White case. Last year, Muhammad Sajid, a resident of Islamabad, had submitted a plea requesting Khan’s disqualification.

Since May 2023, the case has been awaiting resolution after a three-member bench, presiding over the matter, was disbanded by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq. The dissolution came following the publication of two judges’ differing opinions on the plea’s admissibility on the court’s website.
