ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) delivered its long-awaited verdict in a contempt of court case. The court announced its decision, reserving no leniency for those found guilty of misconduct.

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon, a prominent figure in the administrative hierarchy, was deemed culpable of misconduct by the esteemed court. Furthermore, the verdict delineated that Memon was guilty of contempt of court.

In response to his actions, the IHC handed down a stern sentence, sentencing Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon to a term of six months behind bars. This decision underscores the court’s firm stance against any transgression that undermines the sanctity of its authority.

The repercussions of the court’s judgment extended beyond Memon, as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Jameel Zafar found himself entangled in the same legal web. Zafar, a key law enforcement official in the capital, was similarly found guilty of misconduct.

In light of his actions, the IHC levied a four-month prison sentence against SSP Operations Jameel Zafar. This decision serves as a stark reminder that no individual, regardless of their position or influence, is exempt from accountability before the law.
