IMCTC Secretary General calls on COAS Asim Munir

RAWALPINDI: The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Major General Mohammed Bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, ISPR said.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir appreciated IMCTC’s role in fostering regional stability and promoting coordinated counter-terrorism efforts across the Islamic world.

Major General Al-Moghedi acknowledged Pakistan’s significant contributions and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces, ISPR said.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration to promote peace, stability, and security in the region.

The IMCTC delegation is visiting Pakistan from 2–6 February 2026 to conduct a week-long training programme at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) on “Reintegration and Rehabilitation of Extremist Elements.”
