ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Imran Khan has dismissed propaganda circulating in his name on social media against Araba countries, disowning all accounts involved in postings.
His counsel Adv Faisal Chaudhary, said after meeting his leader at Adiala Jail today (Wednesday) that Imran Khan has condemned the anti-Arab campaigns on social media.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder disassociated himself and his party from all those social media accounts circulating propaganda content about his wife Bushra Bibi, Arab nations, and martyres, he added.
Khan made it clear that neither these accounts handlers are his workers nor belong to PTI in any way, the advocate reflected.
Likewise, the advocate said that the former premier has decried the government’s non-seriousness about the ongoing talks with opposition. “Khan believes that not allowing the PTI’s negotiation team to meet him at the jail is tantamount to sabotaging the talks.”
Similarly, Faisal said that Imran Khan has formed a committee under the headship of Qazi Anwar, which will compile a detailed report on the party’s missing workers by Sunday.
The advocate further said that the court, while hearing the GHQ attack case, has approved an application filed to get facilities for Imran Khan in the jail. The court allowed him to speak to his sons and undergo a medical check-up while ordering to provide him with books in his cell.
Khan clarified that his cases are not on the agenda of demands for the negotiations, Faisal said, adding that the PTI founder agreed on talks with government for the sake of Pakistan, not to gain any personal favours.
Moreover, Faisal said that Imran Khan was more interested in the party’s missing persons and directed the negotiation team to pursue their cases with full force.
