RAWALPINDI: Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan has said that they (government) are now attacking the Supreme Court, which is the only remaining symbol of our identity.
“They are trying to destroy the Supreme Court. If they attempt to undermine the top court, we will launch a nationwide protest movement,” he said.
Talking to reporters during the hearing of the 190 million-pound reference in Adiala jail, Imran Khan, without directly naming the Pakistan Army, stated that it belongs to the entire nation, not just the army chief. He said they have inflicted damage on the institution that even an enemy could not have done. A strong institution is beneficial for the whole nation. If corrupt and incompetent people are placed in charge of institutions, the nation will be destroyed.

Imran Khan expressed frustration over the delay in the Supreme Court verdict on his appeal against NAB amendments, noting that the decision has been put on hold until a verdict in the 190 million-pound reference is pronounced.
He said that due to the delay, four references against Shehbaz Sharif, five against Nawaz Sharif, and nine against Zardari and his associates were currently frozen.
Talking about the recent whitewash of the Pakistani cricket team by Bangladesh, he wondered the team has relegated to a position below Bangladesh as if an atom bomb has exploded. He held Mohsin Naqvi responsible for this degeneration of the team, calling him corrupt and inept, who, he said, is a blued eyed man of the boss.
He said that the big boss has appointed Mohsin Naqvi, who has destroyed the cricket in Pakistan who earlier committed fraud in elections and wheat.
He said that NAB halted major donations to Al-Qadir University, and if it stops functioning, it would not affect him. He said that if Shaukat Khanum Hospital ceases functioning, people would face a 10 per cent higher cost for cancer treatment at other centres.
