PESHAWAR: A dedicated force for the release of the Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder Imran Khan will be formed at all costs, adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Shafi Jan said, describing the move as part of a wider public mobilisation effort.
The decision to establish the “Imran Khan Release Force” has been finalised and will move forward without delay, the KP advisor confirmed during his talks at Hum Dekhenge, HUM News TV programme.
He said that the initiative would form part of a broader street movement aimed at securing the former premier’s release.
Acknowledging the differences of opinion existing within the party members, he said that it is limited only to the approach certain party members wish to implement, but stressed that all members are united on key decisions. According to him, internal debate is a natural feature of large political parties, while unity is maintained in public positions.
On the issue of Imran Khan’s health, Shafi Jan said it is a private matter that should be handled by his family. He added that the party stands with the family on all legitimate concerns and demands.
He also emphasised that the family should have full access to information about Imran Khan’s condition, including the presence of his personal doctor, and said proper procedures must be followed in line with prison regulations.
Shafi Jan further said that the family has the fundamental right to meet Imran Khan and called for strict implementation of court orders in this regard. He urged party workers to actively participate in protests and political activities as part of the movement.
