PTI chief moves IHC against trial court decision in Toshakhana case

Toshakhana-II case

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, has taken the matter of the Toshakhana case to the High Court, contesting the decision made by the trial court.

The PTI chairman, once again, has challenged the admissibility of the Toshakhana case in the High Court, seeking its annulment.

The chairman, represented by his lawyer Khawaja Haris, filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to challenge the ruling made by the Sessions Court on July 8. The petition urges the High Court to overturn the decision and invalidate the case against Imran Khan.

The Toshakhana case involves allegations of misuse of state-owned gifts and luxury items by prominent political figures. Imran Khan’s move to approach the High Court indicates his determination to contest the charges leveled against him in the trial court. The Islamabad High Court will now deliberate on the petition and make a decision regarding the admissibility of the case.
