KARACHI: The wedding ceremony of Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Shahid, the daughter of former national team captain Shahid Afridi, is currently underway in Karachi.

Pakistani skipper Babar Azam attended Shaheen Shah Afridi’s wedding ceremony, despite swirling rumours of discord between the two.

Multiple reports have surfaced, suggesting that there might be tension between the duo, stemming from disagreements following Pakistan’s defeat to Sri Lanka in a crucial match during the Asia Cup 2023 last week.

Following the nikah, a reception was hosted, which saw the presence of cricketers including Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naseem Shah, and Shadab Khan, alongside squash legend Jahangir Khan.
