ISLAMABAD: Abhishek Sharma put on an explosive display against the England bowlers in the fifth T20I at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
England won the toss and opted to bowl first in the final T20I, with India leading the series 3-1.
Opening batter Sanju Samson started aggressively, hitting two sixes off Jofra Archer in the first over. After Samson’s dismissal, Abhishek Sharma, alongside Tilak Verma, continued the onslaught, taking the attack to the England bowlers.

Abhishek Sharma reached his century in just 37 balls, making it a record-breaking feat. India were 145/2 when he brought up his hundred.
Rohit Sharma had scored the fastest century in T20 international by an Indian in just 35 balls. That was against Sri Lanka in 2017.
