India should send its team to Pakistan for Champions Trophy: Ahsan Iqbal

WEB DESK: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Ahsan Iqbal has said that India should send its time to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025.

“Sports should be kept separate from politics. The political tensions between India and Pakistan did not affect sports in the past,” he said. “India should send its team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy in 2025. Instead of fighting, India and Pakistan should compete in the fields of education, sports and health,” said the minister.

Earlier on Thursday, a BCCI source informed IANS on Tuesday that Team India might not go to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy next year, and that the event’s location would probably change or a hybrid format might be employed.

For the first time since the World Cup in 1996, Pakistan is set to host an international cricket tournament, and the main grounds all throughout the nation are being renovated.
