India stands firmly with Israel: Modi


WEB DESK: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed solidarity with Israel as he spoke with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

“I thank Prime Minister @netanyahu for his phone call and providing an update on the ongoing situation. People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he tweeted.

The current conflict, while not the first between Israel and Hamas, has unfolded within a particularly volatile context, with desperation escalating among Palestinians and a far-right government in Israel that staunchly opposes Palestinian statehood.
