WEB DESK: Indian actress Jasmine Bhasin recently suffered a severe eye injury caused by her contact lenses. During an event in Delhi, Jasmine put in her contact lenses but was blinded by them within minutes. The damage was so severe that it affected her corneas, forcing her to undergo treatment.
Recalling the unexpected incident that happened on July 17, Jasmine told the Times of India that she started feeling pain soon after inserting the lenses, and shortly after, she couldn’t see.
Doctors have now bandaged her eyes, and it will take 4 to 5 days for her vision to recover. Bhasin stressed the importance of diligently caring for her eyes during this time.
“It’s not easy because I can’t see, and the pain makes it difficult to sleep,” she said.
In a video from the event, she is seen being guided onto the stage by another girl and later leaving while holding someone else’s hand.
